Jazz R2 Transition 1 & Jai R2 VLCD 8

The scale showed gains of 500 gm each for Jazz and me. I decided to discount that as it's the start of Ramadhan and we took our early sahur meals at 5.00 am. Obviously additional calories for the day and taken very late before we weighed in at 7.30 am this morning.

Our lunch and dinner yesterday were within protocol despite the weekend so I'm sure it was the early morning sahur meals that threw us off track. Never mind, we'll see how the numbers are tomorrow as we adjust our meals due to fasting..

Jazz R2 VLCD 20 & Jai R2 VLCD 7

Jazz lost 300 gm as of this morning from the last time he weighed himself two days ago. He has decided to stop the drop and go into transition phase today on the 20th day of the program and at 82 kg.

I lost a meager 100 gm at 61.4 kg this morning. It could be water retention and/or the fact that I did a pedicure and manicure yesterday and had essential oils lathered on my arms and legs..outside protocol with the oil. Well anyhow, I want to push through my progress ASAP and has started taking Diet-33 drop again today.

We both had grilled sea bass and salad for lunch at La Risata and home cooked prawn tomato Tomyam for dinner. Honestly, I am sick of prawn Tomyam...9 more days of VLCD to go..urghhh!! Let's hope for better releases tomorrow..

Friday 29 July 2011

Jai R2 VLCD 6

Jazz is outstation for a group car ride with his friends, Temerloh, Kemaman, etc and back. Didn't bring the scale and not too sure if he'll keep to the protocol, so let's hope that the damage when he comes back wouldn't be that serious..

I am super happy, fantastic fat release of 900 gm to 61.5 kg this morning... Weird as I'm suppose to have water retention due to period or perhaps the slow progress of previous days was bcoz of water retention and now I should see better progress. My lunch yesterday was with hcgier friends at San Francisco KLCC, shared grilled chicken with tomatoes with Lin and that was good despite the small portion. Everyone was hoping for good releases by Raya so they can fit into smaller Raya clothes and have great Raya feasts.. Pyl looked so much smaller and her jeans is hanging on her...hehe...great progress. Suggested to OG to take apple cider vinegar (ACV) with green tea and something to help with toilet trips to speed up fat metabolism and get good releases. At lunch, received SMS from a friend on Diet-33 to update that she lost 5.5 kg in 2 weeks...good job.. Another friend actually lost 5.5 kg in just one week, some people are just lucky and even with some cheat they still lose..

Dinner was boring left over salty cod and asparagus, just half a portion I forced myself to eat as I wasn't hungry. But I turned in late since my son was watching karate kid loudly in my room, and my tummy started growling at 11 pm. So I made a mixture of green tea and Cleanz tea, with 2 tablespoon of ACV and forced my self to sleep...

At my weight now, I am officially thinner than I was at 62 kg on my wedding day, more than 10 years ago.. A little bit more to lose to get my target of 60 kg so I can have a 2 kg buffer for Raya feasts... On track..

Thursday 28 July 2011

Jazz R2 VLCD 18 & Jai R2 VLCD 5

Jazz lost 400 gm to 82.3 kg this morning. He will try to push the core phase for another 3 days and see how low his kg can go.

I lost just 200 gm to 62.4 kg. In my case, not good but not bad... Why? Because..
For yesterday's lunch, I had 2 pieces of Roma Beef Rack without the barbecue sauce but the meat was oily. Had that with just plain salad but definitely had an overdose of oily meat not lean as per protocol. Jazz had lunch outside too, a bit of fish that's what he told me.. Allowed fish I hope...told him that mackerel is out but he wasn't really sure what fish he ate..well never mind.

Dinner was with him, we had steamboat at Johnny's with plain soup of prawns and Chinese cabbage. I had 3 medium sized prawns so below the 100 gm per serving, but ordered fresh coconut water... My favorite drink and I wanted to see if it's low calorie and minimal fat would spoil my progress. Dr Simeons wouldn't have experimented on coconut water. ??? Then I forgot my dinner time dose of Diet-33 and took 10 drops at almost 12 mid nite.

This morning the period came....a week earlier than expected, so I can't continue the drop but will stay on VLCD. So with water retention, oily meat, coconut drink, I am happy to take my 200 gm loss. In Round 1 my weight stalled for 3 days during my period. Will start HCG again as soon as I can may be in 3 days, I won't wait for my last day so I can speed up my course and finish just before Raya.

Jazz R2 VLCD 17 & Jai R2 VLCD 4

Weight loss report this morning:
Jazz @ 82.7 kg, a loss of 200 gm.
Jai @ 62.6 kg, a loss of 700 gm....yeay!

Yesterday, Jazz had lunch at Dome...he had fish and chips set but just took a little portion of the fried and oily dory leaving the rest to his sister and sister in law to finish up. Dinner was prawn soup with cabbage. He passed his favorite kueh I put just in front of him for family's tea time with his dad and siblings. Very good self control considering just early this year his maximum weight was at 99.7 kg and his weaknesses have always been those same sweet kueh plus Penang Nasi Kandar....Good mental training HCG..

I attended a pre-Ramadhan lecture cum lunch gathering at the office and skipped the biryani rice set and kueh.. Just ate a medium sized spicy fried chicken for my lunch from the set given out, no vege and took an orange to fill me up. For dinner I had grilled cod and asparagus. Didn't even finish my portion as I wasn't that hungry and I overly salted my cod, ergh...so salty. So I thot for a 700 gm loss I got this morning, the fried chicken I had for lunch yesterday, wasn't much of an impact but of coz I also lowered my calories by skipping veg, Grissini sticks and reduced my portion for dinner.

Tuesday 26 July 2011

Jazz R2 VLCD 16 & Jai R2 VLCD 3

Woke up to find that I lost 500 gram this morning now at 63.3 kg from 63.8 kg yesterday. This despite eating out for lunch with a friend at WIP Bangsar Shopping Complex ( BSC ). I thot that the closest to protocol offered in the menu was a prawn tandoori and the waiter informed that the prawns are of medium size, so ok I decided to order that. But asked him to swap the side dish to green salad without dressing. The prawn tandoori is actually a set with Biryani rice, raita and mixed vege. I requested for the rice to be packed for my kids. No! no rice for me...

When the food came the prawns were definitely not medium, 3 XXL sized prawns are more accurate. Big heads full of cholesterol laden gooeyness. Well I wallop the spicy prawn flesh and all the heads minus the shell of coz while thinking that the grams must be way above 100....but I ate them all anyway. The tandoori prawn is not exactly protocol compliant as it has to have yogurt in its marination. I just wanted to test the damage on this slight cheat.

Dinner was just a bowl of home cooked cabbage soup with prawn stocks, minus any prawn. Decided to miss the protein portion for dinner to make up for the overdose during lunch. I can't have the same protein for dinner anyway.. So, not bad to still lose 500 gram eating out plus I didn't drink enough water and I had a late night turning in only at 1 am.

Hubby isn't so lucky, he is stalling today with no weight loss. I didn't pack his lunch yesterday so he ate whatever he can get at the food court and had dinner outside ( wasn't specific about what he had - did he cheat big time....I wonder? ) and he didn't eat the
cabbage soup with prawn I gave him at 11.45pm when he came home, worried that he would be over
his calories for the day. Well conclusion is if you wanna cheat, you should cheat smartly... :). At your own risk of coz.

Hopefully his progress will be better tomorrow. As is, he already extended his initial 13 day core phase program duration to try and reach his target of 80 kg still some 3 kilos away. He probably needs another week of VLCD if he can survive it.. I suppose it depends on how badly he wants to lose the tummy.

Monday 25 July 2011

Jazz R2 VLCD 15 & Jai R2 VLCD 2

Jazz lost 400 gm to 82.9 kg this morning, finally below his last R1 weight of 83 kg. I am down 800 gm to 63.8 kg, still 800 gm away from my last round weight. Must be the too good loading I had..

We ate out for lunch yesterday at San Francisco Steak House, KLCC. We shared a 9 oz steak and told the waiter to swap the broccoli and mash potatos with green salad and also ordered extra portion of green salad. Next time we must insist on no dressing at all. I told the waiter no dressing but the salad still came with some sort of oily dressing, olive oil and lemon I think....nice but not protocol friendly.. Decided to just eat them and see what's the damage..

Dinner was home cooked protocol compliant Prawn Tomyam Soup with tomatoes. I ate just before 7 pm but Jazz had his at 11.45 pm. And he fusses about not losing much.. ?? This round I did'nt feel any hunger and skipped my Grissini sticks and a fruit again. No headache too, very smooth this R2..

Sunday 24 July 2011

Jazz R2 VLCD 14 & Jai R2 VLCD 1

Jazz lost 600 gm from last Friday, now at 83.3 kg. Quite a slow progress but I guess it's ok since he cheated on curry puff and a sweet Pau on Sunday. For me, I must have done a fantastic loading since my weight is at 64.4 kg this morning still higher than my R2 start weight of 63.7 kg even after VLCD 1. Well tomorrow is another day. I should see better numbers. Problem is on R2 I am a bit lazy to prepare food and will likely eat out most times. Will update on where and what I eat so that I can share HCG friendly food that can be considered when eating out, without too much damage on weight loss progress. Hopefully, this experiment works as I only have another 3-4 kg to lose this round. For first timers on HCG Diet-33, I strongly recommend making the most of the program without cheat the best you can.. It's not worth it to stall when you have a lot to lose..

I have great news to share, a friend just called to update. She started Diet-33 on 19 July and has lost 4 kg as of today 25 July, 4 kg in 6 days including loading...really good result. Very happy for her. :)). Oopps...another happy friend just called, started Diet-33 on 18 July and todate she lost 3.6 kg. Yeay!! Great.

I think I will get friends on this program to start giving me copies of their weight loss tracker as my records of happy users.

Jazz R2 VLCD 11 & Jai R2 Loading

Went back to my hometown on Friday and weighed myself that morning before we left and I was 63.7 kg. Hubby weighed at 83.9 kg a loss of 300 gm on VLCD 11. I started loading the same day and feasted on coconut rice set, fried banana chips, a piece of Kentucky Fried Chicken, ice cream, biryani rice and chicken sambal, mixed vege and beef biryani dish. I didn't enjoy my loading this time. Felt like I want to puke with all the food I ate and just felt that I had to do it so I can have proper loading to sail through the on start of VLCD for this round. Next day I and Jazz couldn't track our weight loss/gain progress as we forgot to bring along our digital weighing scale.. But I did feel heavier especially on my mid section.

Had another round of forced loading for Day 2 and felt terrible. I really couldn't fill up my tummy as I used to before HCG experience with Diet-33. Before, my tummy's satisfaction indicator has forgotten to switch off even when I am completely full, but now I really can't eat that much anymore. I felt physically sick of the loading experience.

Sunday noon we arrived in KL, and I am officially on my R2 VLCD 1. This time I didn't feel any hunger and am happier eating less on VLCD. I even left out 1 fruit and the 2 Grissini sticks snacks allowed. Didn't experience the headache I had in the first few days of VLCD in R1 but I felt sweaty and tired. We had cod soup with cabbage for lunch at Yuzu Japanese, KLCC and grilled chicken with green salad for dinner at Las Carretas, Ampang. Let's see what's the damage of eating out tomorrow when we weigh ourselves. Jazz has decided to carry on until he gets his BMI to below 25.

Thursday 21 July 2011

Jazz R2 VLCD 10

Jazz is down 400 gm to 84.2 kg today. He had 2 drumsticks for lunch yesterday which was considered a cheat and decided to miss out his dinner as he would be over his daily calorie and protein intake if he ate more. As per protocol, allowed chicken part is breast meat and NOT drumsticks.. Glad that the weight still came off. Phuh!

Tuesday 19 July 2011

Jazz R2 VLCD 9

Jazz is down 300 gm this morning at 84.6 kg. Not many more days to complete his 18 day program, so hoping to at least be below 83 kg by then. He has been very faithful in following the protocol in the last two days except for not having enough sleep due to his habit of turning in late. Keeping his fingers crossed, as we are going back to my hometown this Friday so there'll be lots of food temptation. I'm thinking of doing my loading then if I decide to do my round 2 starting Friday. We see how. I can probably lose the extra 3-4 kg I need to lose fasting during Ramadhan next month..

Golden Rules of Diet-33

500 Calorie Diet Is Mandatory - 500 calorie diet is mandatory in Hcg weight loss protocol. The combination of 500 calorie diet and daily dosage of 30 drops of homeopathic Diet-33 can shed 1-2 lbs from the total body weight of a dieter on average a day, over the duration of the program.

Understand The Phases Well - There are 5 Phases. These are Loading, Core Phase, Transition, Maintenance and Stabilization Phases. The initial 2 days are loading phase while there are 21 days each with the final 2 stages.

No Cheating - Cheating is the main reason behind the failure with Hcg weight loss program. Dieters who are not strictly following 500 calorie diet everyday or nibbling now and then are more vulnerable to put on weight.

No Breaks - No breaks are acceptable during selected Hcg weight loss plan. Breaks would completely nullify the program & you would have to redo the complete plan from day 1.

Understand Side Effects So You Could Be Ready For Them - HCG Diet generally have no side effects but you may experience mild headache, constipation, lethargy etc. If you experience any of these, be prepared to tide over these minor inconveniences with suitable medications or supplements.

Monitor your Weight & Inches Regularly - It is very important to monitor your weight and inches regularly. The sheer happiness to see your weight drop consistently will be motivating enough to complete the protocol.

Be Ready For Weight Plateau - Weight plateau is a phase when a dieter’s weight loss progress comes to a stall. This stagnancy can be broken by doing an Apple Day, where one has to eat up to a maximum of 6 apples a day to break the plateau. You can also do this by doing a steak day, where you only have one meal for the day ie. dinner of a steak with an apple or a tomato.

Never Miss Your Doses - Skipping your Hcg doses can be a hindrance in your weight loss goal. Missing your dose can increase your fat sometimes. You might also feel weak and hungry if you
do not take the regular dosage as required but stick to VLCD.

Avoid Unsuitable Cosmetics, Makeup, Lotions/Moisturizer - Avoid cosmetics, make up and lotion/moisturizer that contains laxatives, animal adipose and essential oils. These unwanted greasy substances contribute in the abnormal fat loading through skin absorption and for this reason Hcg dieters should not use them.

No body massage during the course of HCG Diet.

No HCG dosage during menstruation but continue with the 500 calorie diet. Restart the HCG dosage once menstruation finishes. Note that because of this, the best time to start this Diet Program for women is right after the end of menstruation.

If going for long trips or traveling, consider packing suitable food and snacks to tie over until you can get proper HCG friendly meals to avoid from non compliance to protocol.

No Alcohol - No alcohol should be consumed while undergoing the Hcg weight loss program. As this hormone stimulates hypothalamus, dieters, however, do not feel the necessity of taking intoxicated drinks.

Plan Your Grocery List - Plan your grocery list smartly, read the labels carefully, there are lots of ingredients such as Hydrogenated Oil, Fructose Corn Syrup, Wheat Gluten, Artificial Sweeteners etc which are extremely unhealthy and must be avoided. To be safe stick to organic food and fruits where possible.

What's stopping you from losing the weight is YOURSELF so go ahead, DO the Diet Plan and become the new slimmer and healthier YOU. GOOD LUCK WITH THE PROTOCOL..

Jazz R2 VLCD 8

Finally Jazz managed to get down to below 85 kg this morning, 600 gm down and now at 84.9 kg. This time the excess came off from the chest and tummy, looking leaner especially both the sides of his mid section. Alright! Now he can't wait for tomorrow..

Sunday 17 July 2011

Jazz R2 VLCD 7

Jazz dropped 300 gm this morning and now at official weight of 85.5 kg. Not bad after his cheat on Saturday considering that if he's not so lucky he can stall for a couple of days before the progress continues. He was very good yesterday and passed off my carrot rice and mixed veg dhall dishes with beef and opted to be happy with his cod soup dish. The only cheat yesterday was a teaspoonful of Oreo choc cheesecake. Way to go..

Preparation needed to start Diet-33 Weight Loss Program

What you need...

1. First of coz is that you must be mentally ready to start a DIEt to lose the weight and to be healthy. As I said many times, it's not easy. There is no magic portion. You must really want to lose it BADly....so your commitment will push you through when you feel like giving up. This is a fast weight loss solution for a limited program duration, so sticking to the diet protocol is key to your success. And best part is, exercise is not necessary in this program.

The rest:

2. A digital weighing scale ( to weigh yourself first thing every morning after toilet trip ). These are available for about RM 100++ and above at Pharmacy, Cosway shops, Isetan etc.
3. A food scale, a digital would be great but a conventional one is okay too ( needed as your protein needs to be weighed at 100 gm for every serving ).
4. Measuring tape for measuring your inches loss.
5. Oil free moisturizer and lotions, multivitamins, Stevia as sugar alternative ( if so required ). Stevia is available at Mydin but you can also get it from me or link provided in this blog.
6. Your food choices for at least 3-4 days so you don't end up not having protocol friendly food to eat at the on start of the diet.

These will be:
1) your choices of veges eg. Spinach, celery, tomatoes, cucumber, cabbage, lettuce/salad, asparagus.
2) your choices of protein eg. Prawn, skinless chicken breast meat, lean beef/veal, scallop, white fish ( cod, snapper, tilapia, sole, dory ).
3) your choices of fruits ( orange, grape fruit, apple, strawberries ).
4) Grissini sticks or Melba toast ( available at Cold Storage or other grocers selling imported products ).
5) herbs, spices, onion powder etc to season your protein and dishes ( ensure ingredients do not contain, starch/flour, msg, sugar or oil )

There! Once you have done your shopping for the above and get your DIET-33 homeopathic drop, you can start ASAP. Good luck on your journey!!!

Oh! One more important thing TO DO... Please READ THROUGH THOROUGHLY THE DIET GUIDE provided when you purchased DIET-33. The info inside is SOOOO important for you to fully understand and appreciate the protocol, hence ensuring a great SUCCESS RATE..... The DIET GUIDE also includes food tracker sheets, body measurement sheets and weight tracker sheets to assist you in monitoring your progress.

Any reference, guidance, further info and sharing of info needed, just shoot me an email and I'll be happy to assist where I can.....ALL THE BEST.

Jazz R2 VLCD 6

Jazz posted no weight loss this morning. Can't blamed the protocol, he had extra protein and 3 of different kinds yesterday. Had Prawn Tomyam at 11 am then bowed down to peer pressure to again eat 2 pieces of fried chicken sambal and few of the kenduri dishes at a wedding do and later had cod soup for dinner... No blaming the Diet-33 drop for the stall. Just thankful that there is no gain... Hehe..

Friday 15 July 2011

Jazz R2 VLCD 5

Jazz weighed in at 85.8 kg, dropped 200 gm this morning. We'll see tomorrow, hopefully it's a better day.. He felt inches loss on his tummy tho, his pants and jeans are getting loose..losing fat at the right place so that's good.

Thursday 14 July 2011

Jazz R2 VLCD 4

Jazz is 86 kg today, released 500 gm, not much for his standard but good enough to record a one kilo lost over 2 days.. Within expectation I would say as this program gives an indicative weight loss of between 0.5 - 2 lbs (227 gm - 900 gm) a day over the course of the program. So if the lost is within...he should be happy. Especially after his experience in R1 when he gained on cheating, this round he's more cool about it and happy with his loss so far. He started R1 at a higher base too, so this round his losses logically should be slower as he has less to lose...so he's hoping that the 18 day program is enough for him to go down to below 83 kg.

Wednesday 13 July 2011

Jazz R2 VLCD 3

Jazz lost 500 gm this morning.. Could have been better I think if he had enough sleep. Just 5 hours last nite.. Don't wanna be the adviser again for his R2, he knows enough of the protocol by now to do his best. So his official weight today is 86.5 kg, lost 3kg from his load weight.

Core Phase Recipe - Cod/White Fish Soup

4. Garlic - 1 crushed
5. Young ginger - 1 or 2 slices

7. Salt to taste

Methods:
1. Bring to boil 2 cups of water mixed with item 3-6.

Jazz R2 VLCD 2

This morning hubby weighed in at 87 kg a drop of 800 gm. Good release alhamdulillah. Yesterday, he had a 100 gm ribeye steak at Chinoz KLCC for lunch and home cooked cod soup with cabbage for dinner. Didn't take his Grissini ration as he didnt feel hungry. Must be his good loading helping him in this few days of VLCD. Lunch today was cod soup with just chinese cabbage at Yuzu Japanese KLCC and dinner of home cooked Prawn and tomato Tomyam...today he just had a stick of Grissini.. Let's see how he fares tomorrow.

Musing on Diet-33 Expectations and Results

Overall progress for friends on Diet-33 have been positive. Four of them lost 5-8 kg doing the 18 day program and have stopped as they have achieved their ideal weight. Now on maintenance...21 days of no starch and sugar for the body to adjust to the new weight and become stable. Another friend lost 11 kg in 40 days and also on maintenance before starting another round after Syawal Eid celebrations. Another lost 6 kg in 20 days, this despite cheating quite a bit and has now resolved that she is more ready to do a second round and will do Round 2 as soon as she can. She now understand that what's stopping this diet from working its best is herself.

For friends still half way through the VLCD journey, I hope they will find strong resolve to go through it without cheating as it's effectiveness depends on strict compliance to Simeons protocol. This is not an easy diet as in any diet...otherwise it wouldn't be called a DIE-T (is it dying to eat? I wonder).

Anyway, personally I know that this diet is not like any other diet options I have tried. I had spent thousands on diet pills, supplements, slimming program and personal trainers and none has the result as what this protocol has given me. I now have a second chance in life, be in control of my weight, eat according to where I want my weight to be. Because now I have succeeded in getting to near where I want my weight to be. It's all about making smarter food choices as when we were young, we can eat whatever we like and our metabolism would help us through but now with metabolism slowing down or in my case it had practically dozed off...I once again feel in control of my life having achieved my new weight.

This diet is not just about losing the weight, it's about detoxifying our bodies from all the junks that we have put them through over the years. It works by reconditioning our bodies and changing our mindset to be able to make better food and lifestyle choices going forward so we can have better health and better bodies. Going through the diet, at one point you will realize that you get satisfied by simple and less food, proving a point that all these years you have really abused your body with so much excesses...no wonder the pounds just keep piling on...

But as I said earlier, it's not an easy journey...you'll need lots of support. It boils down to whether you want your body and life back BAD enough..to just push it through. For me what helped me in my journey was my determination to lose the weight as I didn't want to get old with so many health problems and I knew I was getting there what with my track records of adding a kilo a year... What would happen when I get to 60 years old... And I tried my best to avoid temptations to cheat by reminding myself that I had enough of excessive eating already all these years and knowing that this protocol is for a limited time after which I can eat whatever I want hopefully more sensibly; I must first FOCUS on burning the excess fats and reaching my goal weight. This program's foolproof effectiveness in my opinion, provide me with the tool to finally achieve my dream weight that seemed so hopeless just four months ago. Not that I want to be slim to be like a model but to just be what I was at 10 years ago, healthier and 10 kg lighter..

My experience on this journey has proven that it really has changed how my body resets itself. Now my weight has reset itself to the new base and whenever I overindulged on any day, my weight will readjust itself down the next morning, back to the new base, unlike previously when all it knows is to go UP. This diet is about losing pounds and inches, about calories and chemical reactions of our consumption with our bodies, about rebalancing our metabolism....the reason why it's so sensitive to cheating. For successful weight loss and stability of the new weight, we have to follow it through in all the phases the best we can.. As my husband has learnt, the 21 days maintenance phase is key to keeping the weight stable as our bodies reconditioned itself to the new base weight.

What's so great about my new body is that I now no longer have an apple shape...managed to trim my mid section and lose most of the fats behind my back area surrounding the bra straps and butts, yet still keep my cheeks intact so I don't look like a shrivel old lady...hehehe. I feel that my body is more sculptured now as this diet takes just the excess fats off and not your normal or structural fats. That's why when you are nearer your ideal weight, your weight loss will slow and you will feel tired and easily hungry.

Another great side effect is improvement in skin complexion as the hormone plump it up and makes your face looks glowing.. Ok friends...enough of my ramblings....until next time..

Jazz R2 VLCD 1

Hubby woke up excited to check his progress and wow...he managed to release 1.7 kg of weight from his load weight of 89.5 kg to 87.8 kg this morning. He felt great, energized with no hunger pangs yesterday. I think it's also because this round he is mentally ready and understand how the protocol works as compared to when he blindly followed my weight loss experiment with Simeons in Round 1.

Way to go Jazz!! Glad that he is taking this round in such great enthusiasm and sticking to protocol on his own effort than have me as the bad monitor (as it was in R1). Happy for him that his blood pressure is also now normal from borderline level before he lost the weight previously.

Round 2 - Hubby's Journey

Update on hubby's R2 of loading...I underestimate his ability to load...he had coconut rice set for breakfast on his second day of loading, lunch of Penang Nasi Kandar with full sets of meat, fish, squid, eggs and veges plus a late night bingeing on juicy extra everything hot dog 1901 and lots more in between. Shot his weight up to 89.5 kg for the loading overall from 87 kg...hehehe...(my evil laugh).

Didn't stop him from being excited about this R2 as he now know what to expect and think that he is strong enough mentally to sail through the 18 day program without cheating unlike previous attempt. He needs to lose the last 5-7 kg of weight and is looking forward to the daily weight loss on VLCD.

Let's see how he goes...personally am not looking forward to be the thinker of the menus and cook for his R2 VLCD..huhhh..hoping it's worth the trouble. Will surely ask for a nice gift for my effort once he is done with R2. Have realized that his weight is more volatile due to him being less strict in following the protocol during his maintenance as compared to mine.

Round 2 Loading for Hubby

Hubby has decided to start his loading today and tomorrow for his Round 2 of Diet-33. He is targeting to lose another 5-7 kg this round which will be a short 18 day program. Because of his inconsistencies in following the transition and 21 day maintenance phase what with his indulgence in sweet pau, Penang nasi kandar and biryani..he has gained 2 kg from his last transition weight of 85 kg. So he's starting at a higher base of 87 kg and with loading should add at least a kilo more.

Here's what he has gorged on today:-
Morning breakfast of sweet pastries and coconut rice with squid sambal and fried egg.
Lunch of biryani lamb rice with dhall vegetable curry and ice cream.
Dinner of mee goreng and ice cream.

Maximum of 2 grissini sticks a day – optional and can be taken as snacks or omitted.

Do not consume same type of food ie. same protein, vege and fruits in a day.

Do not combine different types of protein, vege, and fruits in one serving.

Do not consume 2 Grissini sticks at one serving.

Serving size and choices of protein, vege and fruits to refer to HCG diet guide and followed strictly for best weight loss results.

Herbs and spices i.e white/black peppers, cumin, thyme, coriander, ginger, sage, etc. are
allowed.

Salt, fresh garlic and onion powder are allowed. However please note that fresh onion constitute a type of vegetables as such if you add fresh onion in your cooking, you cannot combine it with another type of vegetables. I suggest using onion powder instead if you need to use it as you will want to add other more filling veges in your cooking as your choices are already very limited.

MSG, cooking oil/butter and sugar are not allowed.

Soya alternative that can be used : Liquid amino by BRAGG - 0 cal, 0 carb.

Apple cider vinegar can be taken, about 2 tablespoon a day to aid in faster fat metabolism. I recommend using BRAGG's organic apple cider with mother as it has max health benefits and at 0 cal.

A juice of max 1 lemon allowed in a day. You can use this in your cooking for Tomyam etc.

A sugar alternative allowed is pure stevia. You can get this from Mydin under the brand of Stevia Sugar in powder or liquid forms. Or refer to links provided in this blog.

You can take herbal teas/ alternatives to aid in digestion so as to ease any problem with
constipation if any. I personally take Cleanz Tea on a daily basis right before bed but you can use what's best for you.

Green tea is also recommended as it has been shown to aid in increasing the body's metabolism rate.

That's it...hope the info helps....

Will try to post some basic local recipes to give some ideas on what's good and easy to cook and HCG friendly for this phase..

HCG LOADING

Thot I should post my menu for the two loading days I did when on HCG so readers have some idea on how much and what I ate on my load days. Focus should be on fattening &/ oily food and loading is extremely important to ensure that our body sailed through the initial VLCD days successfully. Don't be perplexed why you should be eating so much of fats when you are starting a diet. That is how Dr Simeons protocol works and as you can see in my daily weight loss progress the load weight just melted away very quickly.

So here's my Load Experience...

DAY 1:
Morning Breakfast: Nasi lemak/Coconut Cream Rice with eggs, fried anchovies and prawn sambal.
Lunch: Kentucky Fried Chicken with skins, egg tarts, cheezy wedges, mash potatoes, coleslaw.
Early evening snacks: Durian cheese cake, another 2 rounds of Nasi lemak and it's set of eggs and sambal.
Late Supper: Oily and juicy special hotdog with extra eggs and mayonnaise drench in extra chili sauce.

DAY 2:
Morning Breakfast: 2 half boiled eggs, roti canai, fried banana.
Lunch: Buttered Prawns, Fried Beef, Buttered Rice, Stir fried Vegetables with soft tofu, cendol ie sweet treat with coconut cream and ice cream.
Early evening: Lasagna with extra cheese.
Late Dinner: Biryani Lamb Rice with vegetable curry, bread, mixed kebabs and raita.

Wow what a blessed two days stuffing my self but feel so weird eating so much in those two loading days.

Not a bad idea to also include mashed/cheesy potatoes for potato lovers, ice cream, chocolates, avocadoes on your loading phase, basically food that you think you will miss during this Diet.

Will post my typical daily menu while on VLCD soon..
